1
00:00:16.080 --> 00:00:28.240
advanced air mobility or aam is nasa's vision for transforming the entire air transportation system

2
00:00:25.120 --> 00:00:32.480
and the idea is that it will be safer that it'll be incredibly accessible that

3
00:00:30.640 --> 00:00:38.400
we'll be using it for many more things than we do today and that it will really

4
00:00:34.560 --> 00:00:48.480
be affordable for everybody and one area of innovation that advanced air mobility is going to impact is in

5
00:00:45.040 --> 00:00:56.480
emergency response and the way that aam is going to aid in the disaster response is by helping the first responders

6
00:00:54.000 --> 00:01:03.840
themselves and so right now being a first responder is incredibly risky and so um actually giving them ways to

7
00:01:01.680 --> 00:01:10.000
offload that risk um to these air vehicles is really important to safely rescue people either by you know moving

8
00:01:08.240 --> 00:01:20.400
the people themselves or leading them out of disaster zones getting supplies into these hard to reach areas especially once the infrastructure

9
00:01:18.160 --> 00:01:29.040
has disappeared or even setting up infrastructure helping to bring in communications and the materials we need for that that

10
00:01:26.480 --> 00:01:35.520
that's huge anytime we can we can really give the first responders those tools so that they can help us

11
00:01:33.440 --> 00:01:43.880
really you know much more safely for them you know that's that's an incredibly rewarding part of nasa's mission
