00:00:00.970 --> 00:00:05.330
When we think of the women of NASA, we often think of the legends.

2
00:00:05.330 --> 00:00:09.910
Like those who became the first American women to launch into space.

3
00:00:09.910 --> 00:00:12.810
But the list doesn’t stop there.

4
00:00:12.810 --> 00:00:21.890
Thousands of us have been bold in our pursuit of knowledge, exploration, and discovery – both in the spotlight and behind the scenes.

5
00:00:21.890 --> 00:00:24.780
And every day, we're pushing the envelope further.

6
00:00:24.780 --> 00:00:31.510
In the past year alone, we conducted the first, all-woman spacewalk, broke records for the

7
00:00:31.510 --> 00:00:37.630
longest single spaceflight by a woman, and added six women to our astronaut corps.

8
00:00:37.630 --> 00:00:47.930
Behind the scenes, we made other accomplishments like piloting observatories, leading missions to places we’ve only dreamed of and so much more.

9
00:00:47.930 --> 00:00:49.830
But this is just the beginning.

10
00:00:49.830 --> 00:00:57.460
Soon, we will go even farther: directing launches, taking our first steps on the Moon with the

11
00:00:57.460 --> 00:01:02.040
Artemis Program and making groundbreaking discoveries.

12
00:01:02.040 --> 00:01:11.790
Inspiring the future explorers, scientists and engineers who will one day take our first steps on Mars.

13
00:01:11.790 --> 00:01:17.080
During the first all-woman spacewalk, astronaut Jessica Meir said something we should all

14
00:01:17.080 --> 00:01:23.780
keep in mind: “There’s been a long line of female scientists, explorers, engineers and astronauts and

15
00:01:23.780 --> 00:01:28.210
we have followed in their footsteps to get us where we are today.”

16
00:01:28.210 --> 00:01:35.790
This March, we celebrate our past and look to our future because at NASA, women are making history every day.
